EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

A Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt business executive, David McClymont has consulted with nonprofits, small businesses, entrepreneurs and foundations to achieve greater organizational effectiveness by providing them with business training, restructuring  and psychology oriented business development tools. He has a solid reputation for accelerated revenue growth, operational and strategic improvements and bold visionary initiatives in highly competitive markets.

Formerly serving as President and Chief Operating Officer of Loggerhead Marinelife Center (LMC) in Juno Beach, Florida, Mr. McClymont led an organization known world-wide for its role in conserving the oceans and their endangered species, and locally for Palm Beach County tourism. He focused on improving the organization’s fundraising programs, building efficiencies, and reducing staff and volunteer turnover. He enthusiastically led his team to recruit record support at a time when other nonprofit organizations struggled to keep their doors open. His single biggest contribution was to create a dynamic culture where there wasn’t one before, encouraging staff, volunteers and the community to actively participate in reaching the organization’s goals.

Under his direction, LMC’s core competencies were elevated through large-scale, strategic alliances with Conservation International, Earth Day Network, National Geographic, Sea Turtle Conservancy, The University of Miami, Vineyard Vines, Palm Beach County School District, and Florida Weekly. He also worked to secure land and support for the organization’s future expansion.

Recognizing the challenges in the musical world, Mr. McClymont is dedicated to realizing a strategic vision for the Palm Beach Symphony by expanding the programming reach and engaging the greater community of the Palm Beaches to increase the footprint and visibility of the organization. His plans include the expansion of the Symphony’s educational programming.  According to  Mr. McClymont, to succeed in business, you have to build a pipeline for the future, and that includes children.
