PALM BEACH, FL (Dec. 9, 2014) – The newly formed Young Friends of the Palm Beach Symphony (YFPBS) recently celebrated the kick-off of its inaugural season with a Season Opening Cocktail Party at Buccan Restaurant, Palm Beach. The social event brought together more than 40 young and dynamic professionals who share a common interest in supporting the musical arts.

For symphony enthusiasts in their 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s, membership in YFPBS offers exclusive, tailored events which include dynamic socials, along with engaging educational and unique networking opportunities, bringing together and entertaining like-minded contemporaries in some of Palm Beach County’s most upscale venues.

“It was exciting to see the fantastic response for our first event,” said Todd Barron, Vice President-Wealth Management and Senior Portfolio Manager for UBS Financial Services’ The Barron Group, who chairs the YFPBS committee. “Our mission is to cultivate a diverse group of young, active adults in the Palm Beach area who have an appreciation for classical music and are committed to supporting, advancing and ensuring a spirited musical culture for our community. We believe that our membership offers a fun and energetic way to experience the Palm Beach social scene and lifestyle with one-of-a-kind benefits and, in turn, will support the Symphony with a new revenue-generating membership group.”

In addition to Barron, founding YFPBS committee members include Nannette Cassidy, Carolyn Broadhead, Angie Cortesio, Scott Diament, Christine DiRocco, Aaron Wormus, Erin O’Mahoney and Cari Rentas.

Other upcoming Young Friend member events this season include:

  • Mixer at International Polo Club Palm Beach, Sunday, January 25th, 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
