Palm Beach Symphony commenced its virtual in-school concert, continuing educational efforts that have already impacted the lives of more than 50,000 students in the past five years.
This week a brass trio and a string quartet performed virtual sessions at Palm Springs Community Middle School, Wellington Elementary School, Lake Worth Community High School, and Palm Beach Gardens Community High School. Students had an opportunity to hear the musicians perform in a personal setting and speak to the professionals to learn more about the music, instrument, and their background and life as a musician. This highly sought after program is offered free of charge to Title 1 middle and high schools and is made possible due to a generous grant and support from the Paul and Sandra Golder Conservatory of Music, which includes a matching grant along with corporate sponsors and individual gifts.
Sessions of virtual in-school concerts will continue with two upcoming scheduled for a string quartet and a woodwind group.
